About us

Rwandan Youth Information Community Organisation (rYico) is a UK registered charity that works to support and empower vulnerable young people in Rwanda. We do this through Centre Marembo, our youth resource in Kigali which supports young people who have been orphaned, neglected or left in very difficult conditions for a variety of reasons.

rYico also works in the UK to increase social and cultural understanding about Rwanda.

Ten young people from Canada are currently visiting Rwanda and will be spending two months working alongside the young people at the centre. Together, the volunteers and around 50 young people from Centre Marembo will work to deliver activities with an environmental focus beneficial to Centre Marembo and the local community. We managed to chat to one of the young people from Canada. Click here to read the interview.
